iBus Controllers are responsible for overseeing and controlling Go-Ahead London’s services. As a Controller you will use computer/GPS and communications systems to control the bus service and will communicate with Driver colleagues to ensure that Go-Ahead London can deliver a consistent and reliable service that people can trust.


In this supervisory role, your focus will be on delivering good service to London, ensuring that every journey is taken care of. A key requirement will be exceeding the Company and London Buses quality targets and this will be achieved using the available technology and operating resources to maximum efficiency whilst complying with both company and legal requirements. A reliable service will mean using your skills and experience to ensure there are no avoidable gaps and that as far as possible service frequencies avoid bunching and early running.


This is a varied role that will involve managing resources and working cohesively with a variety of different teams across the organisation and external to the company including police, highway authorities, travelling customers and London Buses. We are looking for individuals who can competently handle emergency situations, whilst ensuring that all Driver colleagues adhere to legislation relating to Drivers’ Hours, health and safety rules etc.

As a consequence of an upcoming retirement, we are now looking to recruit a part time GDPR Officer to join the Go-Ahead London Team.  The primary purpose of the role will be to ensure that Go-Ahead London are GDPR compliant with both current and future regulations. Plus look for ways of improving compliance and reduce exposure to error by ensuring Go-Ahead London are at the forefront of good practice. 

We are looking for someone to undertake the role on a part time basis, but it is important that you are able to travel to all of the Go-Ahead London locations to complete audits as and when required.  You will need to be flexible and adaptable and quickly build relationships across the business.  Although industry experience may assist it is more important that you have a strong knowledge of GDPR and are able to support and advise the whole Go-Ahead London team.
