The Commercial Department of Go-Ahead London are currently seeking drivers to undertake Rail Replacement duties across Kent, Surrey and Sussex on behalf of Southeastern and GT Railways.
Applications are welcomed from drivers from any Go-Ahead London garage location, external candidates are also welcome to apply. You must be prepared to sign on and collect your bus from Sutton where this rota is based, or from any garage in south and south west London dependent upon work and vehicle commitments.

You will be working as part of an eight-person rota working five days over seven. Owing to the nature of the work, Monday to Thursdays will be predominantly evening and night work based on short shifts of around five and a half hours per evening. Saturdays and Sundays will be based on eleven hour days and will be either early or late in nature. You must be prepared to work three out of every five Saturdays and four out of every five Sundays. Domestic hours regulations will apply.

The roster will also contain an element of TfL bus driving work. In return we offer a minimum guaranteed week of 38 hours at the current (2018/2019) GD04 rate of £604.56 per week.

To apply for one of these positions you must have had two years accident free driving and an excellent attendance record. Previous experience of operating rail replacement services outside the Capital would be an advantage but is not essential.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of suitability for the position. You must be prepared to be flexible both in where you are asked to collect your vehicle and the routes you will be asked to operate. Route tuition on rail replacement may be offered in some circumstances, however in most cases you must be prepared to use maps.
