A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Auditor. The purpose of the post is to monitor the effectiveness of all Company systems, to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and to monitor the standard of maintenance of the Company's fleet of vehicles to protect the Company’s Operators Licence. Providing guidance and education to all levels of staff within the business.

The main responsibilities of the post are:
• To ensure that all vehicles operated by Go-Ahead London conform to legal requirements.
• Examine vehicles to ascertain condition and to assist in monitoring maintenance standards.
• To provide training on vehicle inspection techniques and quality system awareness.
• Carry out audits to ensure compliance to internal quality systems and ISO 9001.
• Carry out audits of Operating Department Procedures.
• Carry out miscellaneous surveys/audits/projects as required.
• Produce written reports following audits.
• Carry out surveys to monitor the overall cleanliness/appearance of Go-Ahead London’s fleet of vehicles.
• To carry out audits of driver’s pre-service checks and driver’s defect reporting.
• Provide guidance and propose methods to improve performance.
• To carry out audits of new vehicles at supplier’s premises, or on delivery, to ensure that build quality is acceptable to Go-Ahead London.

This is a key post reporting to the Quality Manager. Applicants will be required to work a 38-hour week; however, they must be prepared to take a flexible approach to their working hours. The salary for this post will be circa £40,000 per annum. However, consideration will be given to candidate’s current earnings.

Applicants must have a thorough working knowledge of all vehicle types operated by Go-Ahead London, a thorough knowledge of the quality systems and a thorough knowledge of DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) standards. Applicants must also hold a valid PCV licence (category D) or a restricted PCV licence. 

Applicants must have general computer literacy, be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff including directors and must be able to produce clear and concise reports.
The successful applicant will also need to develop a good working relationship with all levels of staff and management within both Engineering and Operating departments of Go-Ahead London, and outside contractors.
