The site contract at our Mandela Way garage has not been renewed by Westminster Council due to upcoming plans, so as we approached the 10th anniversary, there was a sense of mixed emotions as the garage gates were closed for the last time on 28 July 2017.

The successful garage located just off the Old Kent Road operated 4 routes with just under 200 drivers, and always remained close-knit from the beginning; the resilience and support from all colleagues continued until its closure.

However, as one door closes another one opens, leading to huge opportunity for growth.  It is therefore with great excitement to see the opening of our North Greenwich site, Morden Wharf where routes 129, 286, 108 and N108 now operate.

Routes 1, N1, 453 and N453 operated from Mandela Way have been transferred to New Cross and the 100 now operates from Silvertown.  The five buses on routes 521 and 507 have been moved to Camberwell.

Nicola Phipps, Operating Manager said, "I look back on my time at Mandela Way with great fondness and pride. I have worked with some of the most talented and hard-working individuals and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their efforts and to wish them all the best at their new garages."
