We are looking to recruit Engineering Shift Lead for our Bexleyheath Garage. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, this hands-on workshop position will be to ensure that quality inspections and productivity is maintained, promoting safe working practices. You will provide technical support and guidance to workshop colleagues, helping to oversee the activities in the workshop.
You must be comfortable supporting engineers and helping them to develop a wide range of skills across the workshop. Flexibility of working hours is essential as shift and weekend work are a feature of this role. Some night and bank holiday work may be required. It is essential that as a Skilled Engineer you hold either the relevant apprenticeship with qualification or an NVQ Level 3 or a City and Guilds Level 3. You must be comfortable in using diagnostic equipment related to identifying faults on vehicles as well as being familiar with using computerized systems within the workshop. A PCV Licence is desirable.
